Beauty is fragile.

Beauty often feels most precious because it cannot be held forever. Like a porcelain vase, it can take years of thought, craft and care to create, yet only a fraction of a second to break. But perhaps fragility is not the opposite of beauty — it is part of what makes beauty meaningful. We look closer because it may disappear. We treasure it because it can be lost. And even when the perfect form is shattered, beauty does not simply vanish; it leaves traces, fragments and memories of what once was.

Candle Season

Candle season is here — when evenings get longer and the smallest glow can change the whole atmosphere of a room.

Choosing a candle holder is almost as personal as choosing the candle itself. Tall holders bring height and drama to a dining table, sculptural forms become objects even when unlit, while smaller holders create an intimate pool of light. Mix different heights and silhouettes to build a composition that feels collected rather than styled.

Jumony in Porcelain

Colour that pops. A surface that almost feels wet with gloss.

Creating Jumony in porcelain was all about finding the balance between depth of colour and an exceptionally clean, glossy finish. What looks effortless in the final piece took rounds of testing behind the scenes — adjusting glaze thickness, refining firing temperatures and experimenting with colour until we found the point where the porcelain could hold that intense saturation without losing its clarity.

Too much glaze softened the details. Too little lost the depth and lustre we wanted. Even small changes in firing could shift the colour or alter the way light travelled across the surface.

The final result is exactly what we were chasing: bold colour with a deep, glass-like gloss that makes Jumony’s sculptural form feel even more alive.
