BOOKING SEPTEMBER CLIENTS 🍂🍁
A little life update…
After a few months soaking up every second of being a new mom, I’m finally getting ready to make my way back behind the nail desk! 🥹
I’ve missed my clients, our conversations, the laughs, and of course creating pretty nails for y’all SO much. But getting to slow down and spend this time with my little boy has been the sweetest.
I’m not coming back full-time just yet! I’ll be taking a limited number of clients on Saturdays throughout September!
I can’t wait to see all of your faces again
Who’s ready for a fresh set? Message to book!

Today I was asked “why the name Dragonfly?” So maybe it’s time to share the story publicly 🤍
Eight years ago, Dragonfly Spa was born.
But the truth is... the story started long before that.
People often ask why I chose the name "Dragonfly." Some assume I just liked dragonflies, but the name has always meant so much more.
Growing up, one of my favorite shows was Gilmore Girls. I loved watching Lorelai Gilmore build a life for herself and her daughter with resilience, determination, and heart. When she finally achieved her dream of owning the Dragonfly Inn, it stuck with me. It represented creating a place where people felt welcomed, cared for, and at home.
Years later, when it came time to name my own business, I told my husband, "This is my Dragonfly."
At first, I wasn't sure I wanted to use the name. It felt too connected to a television show. So I started researching what dragonflies symbolize across different cultures and throughout history.
The more I read, the more I realized it wasn't just a name—it was a mission.
The dragonfly has long represented transformation, resilience, growth, emotional maturity, hope, and becoming who you were created to be.
That was exactly the kind of place I wanted to build.
I didn't want to create just another salon and spa.
I wanted to create a safe haven.
A place where clients could walk through our doors feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, insecure, grieving, celebrating, or simply needing an hour to breathe—and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.
A place where kindness mattered.
Where people knew your name.
Where you were welcomed without judgment.
Where beauty wasn't just about how you looked when you left, but how you felt.
What many people don't know is that Dragonfly came into my life much earlier than I had planned.
Owning a salon was always a dream for "someday."
Then I experienced one of the hardest seasons of my life after a miscarriage. It changed me in ways I never expected. I realized I could no longer thrive in the corporate career I had loved, and with a lot of prayer, faith, and support from my family, we took the leap years earlier than we ever imagined.
Looking back now, I can see that Dragonfly wasn't just a business I built.
It became part of my own transformation.
Today, my vision has grown even bigger.
I want Dragonfly to be a safe haven not only for our guests, but for our team as well.
A place where talented people are encouraged, mentored, challenged, supported, and given the opportunity to become the very best version of themselves.
Because transformation isn't only for the person sitting in the salon chair.
It's for all of us.
Every service we provide is important. We want beautiful hair, healthy skin, relaxing massages, gorgeous nails, and amazing results.
But if someone leaves feeling more confident, more cared for, more hopeful, or simply reminded that they matter...
Then we've accomplished something even greater.
Thank you to every client who has trusted us over these last eight years.
Thank you to every team member, past and present, who has helped shape Dragonfly into what it is today.
And thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your own story of transformation.

Stop shaving underarms and get waxed instead. Results last 4 to 6 weeks and you no longer have to worry about irritation and razor bumps.

A product I’ve been loving. It’s great for dry lips especially if they are flakey as well. You only have to use this once and you can already feel a difference. Toss the chapstick and get real results. The Ordinary.

For real. All sugar free of course.
Be honest... how many drinks are sitting next to you right now? 👀👇
Have severe acne? Or a stubborn blemish? If you answered yes to any of those questions high frequency is for you. It instantly kills acne causing bacteria while also boosting collagen production, ask about it at your next facial.

The aftermath of a great dermaplane sesh. All this sitting on your skin could be what’s causes skin dullness, not smooth, and causing makeup to go on unevenly. This is your sign to book yours today or add it to your next facial.
