Vanity Salon Houston

Vanity Salon was established in October 1997 by Glennis Tolunay and had its grand opening on February 2, 1998. Glennis always had an entrepreneurial spirit and had her own vision of what a salon should look like, as to what kind of ambience a guest wanted to experience when they visited a salon as well as the customer service that guest would expect to receive across their entire salon experience. She also believed that a successful salon should have a strong team-based culture as well as a strong foundation stemmed around training and continuing education. In 2005, with the help of Neill Corporation, Vanity transitioned from a multi-product line salon to an exclusive full-service Aveda Lifestyle Salon offering hair care, skin care, nails and makeup services. Then in 2009, Glennis’ daughter Fiona re-joined the salon team as Operations Manager after a two year experience living and working in London. The salon was growing steadily and in 2010, after a sandwich shop next door closed their doors, Vanity took over their space and expanded. Then in 2014, Glennis’ son Rory joined the salon team as Human Resources Manager, bringing with him over 5 years human resources experience and over 10 years of working in customer service related roles. Everyone that works at Vanity Salon is a DAYMAKER! We are people that perform acts of kindness with the intention of making the world a better place. On a daily basis we get to exercise our artistic expression, work with different types of people and make people feel good. Each day is a gift and each person we encounter is an opportunity to leave an impact on them and make a difference. At Vanity, we believe learning never ends.
