🥾💛 How do we walk the Camino?

Behind every stage, there’s so much more than just miles. There’s effort, teamwork and, above all, people who make it possible for the Camino to be for everyone.

We are able to experience it thanks to DisCamino, a nonprofit organization based in Vigo, Spain, that helps people with disabilities experience the Camino de Santiago, overcoming the challenges along the way together.

Because the Camino isn’t walked with your legs alone. It’s a team effort. 💪♿💛

Detrás de cada etapa hay mucho más que kilómetros. Hay esfuerzo, compañerismo y, sobre todo, personas que hacen posible que el Camino sea para todos.

Nosotros podemos recorrerlo gracias a DisCamino, una asociación sin ánimo de lucro con sede en Vigo que ayuda a personas con discapacidad a vivir la experiencia del Camino de Santiago, superando juntos las barreras que aparecen en la ruta.

Porque el Camino no se hace solo con las piernas. Se hace en equipo. 💪♿💛

What started as Carlos’s dream slowly became a journey shared by many. 💛 One person said “I’m in,” then another… and another… until we became 17 people, each planning their own trip to meet in Vigo and join Carlos on this incredible challenge. 🥾♿️🐚

Lo que empezó como un sueño de Carlos se fue convirtiendo, sin planearlo, en un Camino compartido. 💛 Uno dijo “yo voy”, después otro… y otro… hasta ser 17 personas que decidieron organizar sus propios viajes para encontrarnos en Vigo y acompañarlo en este gran reto. 🥾♿️🐚

Carlos quería hacer el Camino… ¡no organizar un tour! 😂
Pero qué privilegio poder vivirlo rodeado de familia y amigos..

Historia 1 - Un Sueño. Hace un tiempo se me metió una idea en la cabeza: hacer el Camino de Santiago.

Angels / Care for the Caregiver Program

The Angels / Care for the Caregiver Program recognizes that behind every person living with a spinal cord injury is a caregiver whose love, dedication, and sacrifice make recovery and daily life possible. Through this program, we provide caregivers with support, appreciation, resources, and opportunities to recharge, because when caregivers are cared for, they are better able to care for others. Together, we strengthen both the individual and the family.
