🚨 IMMIGRATION UPDATE - August 4, 2026 🚨

I-129 REJECTION simula bukas Aug 5: On August 5, USCIS will begin rejecting Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker petitions that do not include the petitioner's or applicant's name and primary U.S. office address in Part 1. Double-check nyo forms nyo!
Visa Bond Program permanent na: The final rule for visa bond for dozens of countries goes into effect on August 3 when published in Federal Register. If you are from affected country, maghanda na sa bond requirement.
Alien Registration Rule: USCIS finalized the Alien Registration Rule 2026, effective June 29, 2026 and keeping comments open until August 28, 2026. Lahat ng required mag-register, dapat updated sa online system.
Asylum interview rule - malaking pagbabago: The rule, which took effect on July 27, scraps the requirement for trained asylum officers to interview asylum seekers who entered legally or have not been charged with immigration violation. Layunin daw bawasan ang 1.4M backlog.
Signature Rule July 10: Effective July 10, 2026, USCIS can deny a petition or application discovered to have an invalid signature after intake, retain fee, and no chance to correct. Kaya wag basta-basta e-sign!
Asylee / Refugee to Green Card: Both asylees and refugees must have been physically present in the United States for one year when USCIS adjudicates their Form I-485, rather than at the time they file their adjustment.
August 2026 Visa Bulletin: USCIS has confirmed that for August 2026, Employment-based applicants must use the Final Action Dates chart from the August Bulletin.
