I am SO incredibly shocked, humbled and honoured to announce that I’m a FINALIST in the ANZ Hair Industry Awards 2026 – Sole Operator of the Year! 🏆✂️

This one feels really, really BIG.

After 27 years of running my own business, being the hairdresser, receptionist, cleaner, bookkeeper, social media manager, problem solver and pretty much everything in between 😂… to be recognised by the hairdressing industry in this way is something I never expected.

I’m genuinely gobsmacked. 🤯

To think that my little business, built over 27 years of hard work, crazy days, big decisions, plenty of challenges and SO much love for what I do, has made it to this point… well, please pinch me now!

I’m incredibly proud, incredibly grateful and honestly still trying to process it all.

A little update from 1 September 💛

I wanted to share a small change coming to Simply Stunnin’ Hair & Beauty.

I’ll be introducing a new colour measuring system called Vish.

As you probably know, hair colour is never one size fits all. I’ve always measured and priced colour based on the formula needed, but every head of hair is different and sometimes we go through a little more colour than expected.

Vish will help me:
• keep a more accurate record of your colour formula
• cut down on colour waste
• make the salon a bit more sustainable
• and make sure you’re charged fairly for any extra colour used during your appointment

For me, it’s all about being more accurate, more consistent, and a little more mindful behind the scenes too.

If you ever have any questions, please just ask me at your next appointment — I’m always happy to chat it through.
