THE UNDER EYE AREA 👀

One of the most spoken about areas on the face during a consultation… “why do I have so many lines around my eyes?”

And sometimes, even after treating the crow’s feet, there are still lines underneath the eyes and travelling down onto the cheeks.

The reason? It’s often not just one thing.

The under-eye area is incredibly dynamic. We smile, squint, laugh and move this area constantly. Then add in the changes that happen as we age:
• collagen loss
• thinner skin
• changes to the volume and support underneath
….and those lines can become much more noticeable.

This is why simply treating more muscle movement isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes we need to look at the skin. Sometimes we need to look at support. And sometimes we need to accept that a little bit of movement and some lines around our eyes are completely normal.

It’s about working out what is actually contributing to what you’re seeing, rather than just chasing every line.

A day of networking and education at the Fresh Clinics Summit on Wednesday night and all day Thursday 🤎

I genuinely love getting to these events. It’s a chance to get out of the clinic, meet and chat with others in the industry, learn about new treatments and techniques, and keep up with what’s changing 🙌

Being a solo treating nurse, I have to self initial a lot of these things…as it’s so easy to get caught up in working every day and forgetting there’s so much evolvement to be done by attending these events.
