Electrolysis:
Did you know that electrolysis is completely permanent. It is currently the only method recognized and approved for permanent hair removal.
Follicle Destruction:
A trained electrologist inserts a sterile, ultra-fine probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle. A tiny electrical current is delivered to destroy the growth cells and blood supply at the root.
Universal Success:
Because it targets the follicle directly rather than the pigment (melanin) in the hair, it is effective on all skin tones and all hair colours, including blonde, grey, red, and white hair.
Multiple Sessions Required:
You will not be completely hair-free after a single appointment. Hair grows in different overlapping cycles, and the process can only destroy follicles during their active growth phase.Timeline: Achieving complete permanency in a specific area typically requires a series of regular sessions spaced over 12 to 18 months.
Potential Variables:
While a successfully treated follicle is dead forever, hormonal shifts (such as from PCOS, pregnancy, or thyroid changes) can occasionally trigger entirely new dormant follicles to start producing hair in the same area. If this happens, a few touch-up sessions will permanently resolve the new growth.
