Circa - Storytelling Workshops for Wellbeing

A heartwarming evening of storytelling last night in Freo, filled with bold conversation and wild reimagining.✨🙏

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴… 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱. 💛

Twenty women. Three days. And a whole lot of creativity.

We stitched, sculpted with Euclay - eucalyptus clay, made Turkish lamps, shared stories, ate beautiful food, connected with nature and all of the farm animals, laughed A LOT and spent hours completely absorbed in creating.

There was something so lovely about slowing everything down and giving creativity the time and space it deserves. No rushing from one thing to the next. Just making, learning, chatting, laughing and enjoying the process.

This retreat was dreamed up and brought to life by Michelle, Melissa, Sohalia, Amanda and Carolyne, with each of us bringing our own ideas, skills and creativity into the mix. And then the other 15 women arrived and brought theirs — and that's when it really became something special. We created The Art of Sacred Making because we believe making time for creativity matters. After this weekend, we believe it even more. 🌿

So many beautiful things were made over those three days, but even better were the conversations, connections, laughter and memories created along the way.

We think we might still be floating a little. 💛

Grateful to be involved with this wonder-filled festival in Freo. I’ll be telling a tale alongside a couple of other great storytellers at Ode to Sirens on the 7th September.
