Swift MyoTherapy
At Holisteo, I believe that health and healing come from within—it is the patient who gets well and not the practitioner or treatment that makes them well.
Swift MyoTherapy is a home based, manual therapy clinic focusing on treatments of common muscle and joint aches and pains such as tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis as well as movement restrictions and postural dysfunctions. Swift MyoTherapy is a home based, manual therapy clinic focusing on manual therapeutic treatments of common muscle and joint aches and pains ranging from over-use conditions such as tennis elbow to muscle and joint pain associated with lifestyle, postural, behavioural and/or movement impairments. Swift MyoTherapy emphasizes active self-care by patients in the form of self-administered soft tissue treatments and exercise to empower patients to take control of their treatment outcomes. I see my role as helping the patient identify and remove the barriers that are preventing the patient’s internal health care system from functioning optimally. Treatment goes beyond attempting to alleviate present symptoms or chasing pain, but to source out the actual cause of the complaint and restore lost muscle and joint function. This can sometimes take time to discover and this is why the collaborative effort between myself and the patient is so important—it's a team effort. My home based clinic allows for easy, free parking, ample privacy since there is no large reception area and it also removes the "clinical" feeling of a large commercial space. I wanted my treatment space to have an air of calm and intimacy. I am a real person and inviting you into my home allows for a special connection that I think is often missing between therapists and their patients.
