Your kid says their foot hurts. You look. There is a thing on it.
Plantar warts are extremely common in kids and teens because kids live at pools, in gym change rooms and barefoot generally.
They are also uncomfortable; they make sports miserable, and children have a real talent for picking at them, which is how one becomes four.

The 3-step routine on these slides is the same one we walk parents through at every pediatric appointment. It's not glamorous, but it works, and it's the difference between a bearable flare and an ER visit.
If your child has eczema (or any chronic skin condition), the goal isn't "cure it tonight." The goal is reducing the misery TONIGHT while you get the longer-term plan from a doctor.

Plot twist. Some people are paying for laser hair removal with their health spending account.
Not everyone, and not every plan, but far more people than realize it. Health spending accounts and employer wellness accounts vary widely in what they allow, and a surprising number of people never check because they assume the answer is no.
Pull up your benefits portal or call your provider and ask what your account covers. It's worth checking out!
