When the old structure is working against you, sometimes fixing it takes longer than starting fresh. 👀
With nails like these, the thickness was already insane and the structure needed a major correction. You can try to rebalance them by filing down all that bulk, lifting and correcting the free edge, rebuilding the apex, and reshaping everything—but that can mean a lot of filing and a lot of extra time.
This is where dual forms can completely change your rebalance game.
Instead of fighting the existing structure, I remove the unnecessary bulk and re-sculpt using dual forms. It allows me to create the correct apex, C-curve and overall architecture much faster, with significantly less finish filing.
For this set, I used Fuzion Easy Gel, which has amazing strength for long nails like these while still giving me the control I need to build a beautiful structure.
Then we finished everything with a soft airbrushed ombré and Fuzion Fx Glazed Chrome for that metallic shine. ✨
Sometimes re-sculpting is faster than trying to fix a structure that simply isn’t working.

A few stencils, a little layering, and suddenly a simple idea turns into something that looks way more complicated than it actually is.
That’s what I love about airbrush nail art — you don’t have to overthink it. Just layer, play and see where it takes you. 🖤
And a little reminder — always use safe, water-based paints made for airbrushing. Please don’t spray gel polish through your airbrush. Your and Client’s safety comes first.

Let’s talk about refining the free edge after your final top coat. 👀
For me, this is a MUST. That tiny finishing step makes such a difference — it gives you a much cleaner, sharper and crispier free edge and makes the whole set look more professionally finished.
I know for years we were taught to always cap the free edge with every layer. And yes, there was a reason behind it. But products and techniques have evolved.
When you’re working with a high-quality professional product, your structure and application are correct, and you understand how your products perform, you don’t necessarily need a thick layer of product wrapped around the free edge.
After my final top coat, I like to refine that edge and remove any little bumps or excess product. It brings back that clean shape and gives the nail that sharp, finished look I love.
Sometimes the smallest finishing details make the biggest difference. 👌✨

Once you understand how to use this little magic tool, you can create such intricate designs that look like they took forever… when in reality, they can be surprisingly easy to make.
It’s all about learning how to control your airbrush, layer your colors and use your stencils in different ways. Once you get those basics down, there are honestly SO many possibilities.
