Shedding the old me, quite literally.
Day 3 post-peel and we are officially in the crispy stage.
Temporary flaking.
Brighter, smoother skin loading.
Do not pick. Do not peel. Moisturize generously.
Let her shed in peace.
Apologies to those closest to me this week😂
A little workday pick-me-up ✨
New skin loading…
I love a good peel.
Quick, effective, and a very satisfying way to say goodbye to some of the dullness, pigment and texture we collected over the summer.
I used AlumierMD’s Glow Peel here — customized in layers depending on what your skin needs (and what it can handle)!
A few days of looking a little crusty for brighter, smoother skin?
I’ll take the trade.
And obviously, we’re bringing the neck along for the ride.
Peel season, bb.
Let’s go.
2000s rap for the dopamine,
blue raspberry Jolly Ranchers for the endorphins, and a chemical peel for the glow.
Multimodal therapy, bb.
Personalized to you.
Clinically, I stand by it.

Chemical peels are one of my favourite ways to give the skin a little reset.
Depending on the peel, they can help improve:
• Dullness and uneven tone
• Pigmentation and sun damage
• Acne and congestion
• Fine lines and texture
• Overall brightness and glow
And no — a chemical peel doesn’t necessarily mean a week of hiding at home while your face falls off.
With lighter superficial peels, you may experience some warmth or tingling during treatment, followed by mild redness, dryness or flaking over the next few days. Despite the name, some people barely peel at all!
For general skin maintenance, I often recommend a series of peels spaced about 3–4 weeks apart, with frequency adjusted depending on your skin, goals and the type of peel being used.
The goal isn’t always dramatic peeling. It’s healthier, brighter, smoother-looking skin underneath.
6 years ago today, I sat at my kitchen counter and signed my name to incorporate a sweet little aesthetics business called Magic Mirror Medispa.
Since then, the name, location and services have changed — and I’ve changed a lot too.
And somehow, here we are. Grateful for what’s happened and excited for what’s to come.
Still laughing, still smiling, and apparently still rolling with the sparks!
Happy 6 years, Bloor West Medspa🩷

I don’t think you ever really leave the roles that shaped you.
They show up in the way you listen. The questions you ask. The things you notice. The decisions you make when nobody else would know the difference.
Aesthetics is a very different kind of medicine than where I began, but so much of the practitioner I am today was shaped by the nurses and mentors who trained me — the ones who showed me what good care looked like before I knew how to provide it myself.
And I have so much respect for the nurses still at the bedside, doing that work every day. I know what it asks of you.
Because when someone sits in my chair, I don’t just see a treatment or a feature to change. I see a person who has trusted me to make a thoughtful decision with them.
I may work in a very different corner of healthcare now, but I’ll always be proud of where I came from.
And I think that will always be at the heart of how I care for people.
My perfectionism is both a gift and a curse 😂
For me? Debatable.
For my patients? We’re leaning gift
I notice the little things.
I care about the little things.
And when it comes to your face, that’s probably the best thing.
And if I didn’t notice the thing you’ve been hyper-fixating on until you pointed it out?
I can almost guarantee you’re the only one who did!
Proudly talking you off the ledge and telling you when I genuinely think we should leave something alone🩷
Aesthetic girlies really said soft life…
Meanwhile we’re running practices, working clinically, getting Sculptra injected into our faces and somehow still yapping and laughing through all of it.
Cute, glowy, and tough as hell.
We contain multitudes 😂
