What started as Salon Luna has become so much more than I had ever imagined. Thanks to support of our clients, I’ve had the privilege of creating a space filled with creativity & connection.
Today, I’m so excited to share that Salon Luna is officially becoming
Hansma Hair Ko!!
This new name represents who we are today and where we’re headed tomorrow. It’s a fresh identity with the same passion and the same commitment to making every visit feel special. While our look is evolving, our purpose never will—to provide exceptional hair services in a welcoming, inspiring space where everyone feels at home.

I started this business at the age of 22, and I have always wished I put more thought into my business name. As I have evolved over the years, I wanted something that represents myself and my family, the people who helped make this dream of mine come true.
Both of my grandparents were entrepreneurs in the Claresholm area: The Hansma side (Hans & Henny & boys-Taco, Winston, Gerry, Paul & David) with Bar H5 Farms & Performance Horses in Granum and the Kulas side (Joe & Amalia and their children-Cindee, Martin & Sonia) with the first car wash in Claresholm in the 1960’s, later Mohawk Gas/J & M Discount Gas, and the Chinook Motel. Watching my grandparents build their own businesses made me want to follow in their footsteps.
Hansma Hair Ko is a celebration of both sides of my family.
Instead of Co I chose Ko, for my mother’s family-Kulas. The flowers represent the birth flowers of people very special to my heart. A poppy for Jackson… the man who has always supported me, no matter what my dreams are or how much physical labour is involved. My life has become what it is because of the support of my loved ones, I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
I am forever thankful.

Salon Luna is growing, and we’re looking for a talented hairstylist to join our team!
We are a salon that values a welcoming and exceptional guest experience, continued education for stylists, stylist creativity, and teamwork. Our goal is to create an environment where both our clients and stylists feel comfortable, supported, and inspired.

Full-time or part-time position available with flexible hours and scheduling. We are looking for a fully licensed stylist, but would also consider an apprentice.

Salon Luna is a proud L’Oréal Professional Salon, working primarily with their colour line, backbar, and retail products.

We continue to see strong demand from both new and existing guests and are excited to welcome another stylist to help us grow and serve our community.
