I am fortunate enough to have found my favourite place to work, my home. After working in a fitness club and clinic, home has been a welcome change.
The past three years have allowed me to offer my clients a quiet, intimate, welcoming and private setting. I am also able to be flexible with my hours which makes accomodatin my clients much easier. I have taken many courses over the years including Muscle Energy Technique, which offers a gentle way to manipulate both joints and soft tissue, as well as courses in TMJ treatment. I look forward more continued learning. I am hoping to increase my body of knowledge, communication and accessability with clients and health care practitioners through Facebook. It is a great place to share.
Massage therapists can still treat their clients during this “lockdown”.
The location may change if they are working out of a space that needs to close, but they can still work.

New research from the Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) conducted by Environics Research Group shows the vast majority (93 per cent) of family physicians frequently treat patients with low back pain and more than half (55 per cent) admit they find it challenging to treat these patients on their own. Three-quarters (75 per cent) say they think their patients suffering from low back pain could benefit from treatment options offered by other healthcare professionals.
