Grey blending isn’t just for people with grey hair. Sometimes it’s simply about softening that dark grow-out line and creating a colour that grows out beautifully.

For Tanya, we wanted to soften her dark root line while blending her natural sparkles. ✨

We started with a full head of fine babylights, taking some right to the root and others just through the grow-out line to create a soft, even blend. We used Blond Studio 9 + 20 vol to keep her hair healthy while lifting.

At the root, I used Dia Color 7N + 7.8 with 15 vol to create a lived-in blend that works with her natural grey instead of covering it. Then I toned her ends with Dia Light 8.18 with 9 vol for a soft, bright finish.

The best part? Her colour will grow out so much softer with no harsh line.

I’m Lindsy.

I’ve been behind the chair for 28 years, and I still get excited every time someone trusts me with their hair. It never feels like “just hair” to me. Hair is personal. It’s confidence, memories, change, healing, and sometimes the beginning of a whole new chapter.

I love creating lived-in, blended colour that grows out beautifully. One of my favourite services is grey blending because you don’t have to be fully grey to enjoy a softer, lower-maintenance look. Seamless blend looks great all the time!!

Outside of the salon, I’m married to the most wonderful husband, and being with my family and friends fills my cup. I’m also a proud mom, a Gemini, and a Cabernet Sauvignon lover. When I’m not at the salon, you’ll usually find me in my garden, baking something sweet, cooking for the anyone who will enjoy it! Wait till you taste my homemade butters! Delicious 😊

I’ve had the privilege of owning Dahlia Salon & Spa for the past 14 years, and one of the things I’m most proud of is the incredible team I get to work alongside every day. They aren’t just my coworkers—they’re my second family. We celebrate together, support one another through life’s ups and downs, and yes… a few of them even call me “Mom.” ❤️ I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To every client who has sat in my chair, trusted my hands, shared your stories, laughed with me, cried with me, and supported this little dream of mine, thank you. Many of you have become so much more than clients. You’ve become friends, and I will never stop being grateful for that.

My goal has always been simple…to help you feel like the very best version of yourself and to give you the confidence and knowledge to make your hair feel just as good at home as it does when you leave the salon.

This one is for the students.

I’ve been hearing stories lately about students completing their hours and not always being treated with kindness. It honestly makes me sad.

We were all that student once.

We all started somewhere. We all made mistakes. We all needed someone to slow down, explain things, and believe in us.

As salon owners and hairstylists, we have a choice every day. We can make someone feel like they don’t belong, or we can help them become the stylist they’re meant to be.

Teaching takes patience. Mentoring takes time. But I truly believe that’s how we make our industry stronger.

You never know what a kind word or a little encouragement will do for someone’s confidence.

Let’s be the people who lift students up, not tear them down.

The future of our industry is standing beside us. Let’s teach them, support them, and show them what this industry can be.

Because one day, they’ll be the ones mentoring the next generation

After 27 years behind the chair and 14 years of owning a salon, I’ve learned that what matters most is how people feel when they leave your presence.

Did they feel heard?

Did they feel valued?

Did they feel supported?

Whether it’s a client in my chair, a team member beside me, or someone in my everyday life, I’ve always believed people do their best when they know someone genuinely cares.

Hair has given me the privilege of meeting incredible people, building meaningful relationships, and watching others grow into who they’re meant to be.

And that’s something I’ll never take for granted. ❤️
