Meet our newest massage therapist, John Tai!

John has trained as a massage therapist in BC and has been in practice since 1997.
He complements his therapeutic practice with a broad scope of skills and life experiences. He was an avid athlete at a young age and has coached and trained as a fitness instructor since 1991.

For 7 years, since 2010, he has gravitated toward obstacle race training and has worked with elite athletes on their journey to the top of the world stage.

From the start of his massage journey, he was drawn to somatoemotional work through craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation studies. This led him to research and practice Vipassana meditation and yoga in Thailand and India for several months during 2006. John has traveled widely across 5 of 7 continents.

Adding to his education, John has studied and worked in the field of electroneurophysiology since 2004 to help patients with seizure and neuromuscular disease diagnosis and monitoring. Electroneurophysiology nurtured a deeper understanding of the workings of cognition and emotional states.

From 2019 to 2026, John has taken a permaculture journey, developing 98 acres in the Fraser Canyon. This cultivated deep connections with nature and animals.

His work with surrounding First Nations also supported his mental health and sense of wellness: connection to spirit, land, people, and self. He began working with horses through Equine Assisted Learning Canada.

Together with his love of Latin dances, he developed a deep philosophical understanding of wellness through respectful communication in its vast and varied forms. This serves as the foundation of all successful therapeutic relationships.

John is available alternate weeks Thursday and Saturday.
