We are often told that we worship the
"wrong Jesus." I'm not entirely sure what that is meant to imply, but it doesn't trouble me.

After all, the religious leaders of Jesus' own time believed He was the “wrong" Messiah as well. They expected power-He came with compassion.
They anticipated a king on a throne—He knelt to wash feet. They sought conquest-He offered a cross. Those who knew the scriptures best failed to recognize Him because He did not fit their expectations.

So if following Him today means being misunderstood, questioned, or even criticized, then I know I am in good company. I do not worship a Jesus shaped by opinions or traditions. I worship the Christ who heals the broken, welcomes sinners, lifts the weary, and transforms hearts. And if loving Him appears "wrong" to some, I will gladly stand with the One who was first called wrong by the world-and who proved them all mistaken.🕊️
