How to moisturise DRY AFRO HAIR
1. Start with a clarifying wash: Before moisturizing your hair, it's important to start with a clean slate. Use a clarifying shampoo like our Ayurvedic Reviving Shampoo to remove any product build-up and dirt that could be preventing your hair from absorbing moisture.
2. Deep condition regularly: Deep conditioning is crucial for moisturizing dry hair. Try our Hydrating Fenugreek Deep Conditioning Treatment that has been specifically formulated for afro hair, as these tend to be more moisturizing and nourishing. Apply the conditioner to damp hair and leave it on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it out.
3. Use a leave-in conditioner: Try our Long-lasting Hibiscus and Flaxseed Leave-in conditioners as they are great for providing extra moisture and protection to your hair. It contains natural ingredients like shea butter and jojoba oil which are known for their moisturizing properties.
4. Apply a hair oil: Hair oils are a great way to seal in moisture and add shine to dry hair. Choose our Moringa Miracle Hair Growth oil that is lightweight and non-greasy. Apply a few drops to your hands and run them through your hair, focusing on the ends.
5. Use a moisturizing hair butter: Hair Butters are another great option for adding moisture to dry hair. Try our Ayurvedic Hair Growth Butter that is specifically formulated for afro hair and it contains ingredients like shea butter, mango butter, olive oil, avocado oil, h**p seed oil etc. Apply the butter to damp hair and gently comb through for even distribution.
6. Don't forget your scalp: Your scalp needs moisture too, so don't neglect it. Use a moisturizing hair butter like our Ayurvedic Hair Growth Butter to massage into your scalp. This will help nourish and hydrate your scalp, promoting healthy hair growth.
7. Protect your hair at night: When you sleep, your hair rubs against your pillow and can cause damage and friction, leading to dryness. To prevent this, use a silk or satin bonnet or pillowcase to protect your hair at night.
8. Avoid using heat tools: Heat can strip your hair of its natural oils, making it even drier. Try to limit the use of heat tools like blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons, and opt for heatless hairstyles instead.
9. Drink plenty of water: Hydrating your hair starts from the inside out, so make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day. This will not only benefit your hair but also your overall health.
10. Be gentle with your hair: Avoid rough handling and brushing your hair when it's dry, as this can cause breakage and damage. Instead, use a wide- tooth comb or your fingers to detangle wet hair, and be gentle when styling.
