When I set out to write this book I wrote from my heart about an imperfect young woman who was merely an intern trying to impress her boss, so that he would hire her for a job that she really didn't even want. As I wrote I thought about young women, who like myself as a young adult needed persons to share their story, so that I could learn from it and avoid making similar mistakes like they did. I also wanted to share some stories with another introvert like myself, who may not be surrounded by supportive friends and loved ones, but who nevertheless needed someone to share their story like I did.

In writing this story and in my reflection to all the ladies I would say 1. Get to know him 2. Strive for that career, aspire to be whatever you choose regardless of where you are from, your educational background, your experiences and your circumstances. 3. Validate your damn self!!!! 4. Find a team player, a cheerleader and someone who sees your worth and who cares enough to protect it. 5. Get beyond your fears, 6. Strike back at your struggles and hardship.

On my journey to write this story there was a constant phrase lingering in my head. I thought, here is a girl so focused on impressing her boss, chasing a childhood dream, then lowering her standards for this guy, then running away from that which sought to restrain and abduct, and then falling back, and letting go of her fears, and I thought if I had to really give this character one bit of advice I would say that it is good to have aspirations, to graduate, to find that man of your dreams, get that promotion, get that dream job, soar, elevate, socially and economically mobilize yourself. In fact go ahead sweetheart, aim for the sky, if you happen to fall on an eagle, celebrate that as a victory and a blessing, as you would have accomplished a great thing, But First You MUST Love Yourself. Because the triumphs are coming, but so are the trials. And the victories are coming, but so are the failures, but if you can love yourself you are on your way to being armored up.
