Do you flake off your henna as soon as it dries?
When we say "Leave your henna on for a minimum of 6 hours," we mean keeping the dried paste attached to your skin for 6 hours—not letting it dry, flake off after an hour, and then simply waiting until the 6-hour mark.
❌ If the paste flakes off after 1 hour, it didn't stay on your skin for 6 hours.
Henna can only stain while the paste is in contact with your skin. Once the paste flakes off, the staining process stops.
This is why using a sealant is so important.
A sealant helps to:
• Keep the dried paste attached to your skin.
• Prevent the paste from flaking off too soon.
• Allow the henna to stay in contact with your skin for longer.
• Give your stain the best chance to develop darker.
Remember: It's not about how many hours have passed… it's about how long the paste actually stays on your skin. That's what makes the difference.
