I am a believer in your time is coming. I love telling people that nothing was the same after this video went 2x viral. Things didn’t change instantly. But instantly, I knew things would never be the same. I had 970 followers before going viral. After going Double viral, I ended up at 13K followers. From then on, I knew more or less what to do. I’m grateful for my opportunities that came as a result of…

Not Quitting

Working my way through layers. From the heavy bang guideline. To using that guide for layer length and placement. This is her 2nd visit, and during her 1st appointment, we cut her hair. So this appointment is all about maintenance. Maintaining her haircut. That means cleaning up and defining old lines. This haircut I did far less deep point cutting. I primarily kept it to only what was necessary to cut.

With our haircut being the foundation for styling. Styling was low effort. Everything seemingly falling into place

The era of the homemade flyers is here. Your AI nonsense is trash. Show me the work a human put in. I’ll support that. Otherwise, immediate dismissal of whatever you’re promoting.

“You gotta put in your own work ‘round here homie!”

The Proud Artist. Taking pride in your work will give you longevity in this industry. There’s nothing Corny about showing how pleased you are with yourself. If you did a good job, smile for you.

Shiny (glass like), cared for hair is the best.

The shape is what gives the Bob haircut character. The flat Bob trend was/is cool, but the shape has no character. A Bob should feel “lived”. Like the wearer actually functions daily with their haircut. Shaping a Bob is your hairstylist signature touch. It’s your version of a classic haircut. It’s the way that You do it. Not Copy & Paste.

Friction. That is the root cause of the “ponytail hole”
Dehydrated strands rubbing together can create split ends that travel up the hair shaft. Breaking off small pieces while traveling up the strand. The breaking, especially on fine hair. Creates a very noticeable see through portion of the hair. The hair needs to be cut slightly above the affected area. Not below, not “we’ll nurse back together”. Cut. In my experience cutting is the only solution that will work.

The dreaded Hair Crease. Sabotaging a sleek look near you. If you’re still giving these out to clients. Know that We need to work on our tool control. Perhaps paying closer attention to what we’re doing and how we’re doing it.
Don’t be busted, it’s Celebrity Hair.

Near Tapered. All of the hair below the occipital bone, is getting Re-Mixed. I used several different ways of removing hair and weight. Once I had my “as low as it can go” established. I then proceeded to work within that box to shape and balance the section. All the while maintaining cut discipline in sticking to our nape shape, square.

The horizontal neck line, visually adds fullness to this classic shape. The subtle taper is a nod to the Professional Precision given to this cut.
