This is Ms. Marilyn Mallow — a very special part of the Deluxe story. ❤️ Ms. Marilyn was our very first client — the first person to walk through our doors when we opened in 2008.

When Ken and Diana first opened Deluxe at the corner of Miami and Camargo in Madeira, they were just 21 years old. There was so much excitement and hope, but also so much fear and uncertainty. They were young, starting from nothing, taking a chance on a dream and wondering: Will this work? Will anyone walk through our doors? Will anyone give us a chance?

And then Ms. Marilyn walked in. She gave us that first chance.

She supported us from the very beginning, and what makes her story so special is that more than 18 years later, she still continues to walk through our doors. When we look back, it’s hard not to get emotional thinking about how much has happened between that very first day and today.

Customers like Ms. Marilyn are the reason we are still here. Over the years, our clients have supported us, guided us, given us honest feedback, challenged us to do better, celebrated with us, and helped shape Deluxe into what it is today.

We have grown. We have learned. We have made mistakes. We have faced challenges we never expected. But through every change, every lesson, every difficult season, and every season of growth, our loyal customers continued to stand beside us.

We truly would not be here without you.

Ms. Marilyn, thank you for being the very first person to believe in us and give us a chance. Thank you for walking through our doors in 2008, and thank you for continuing to walk through them all these years later. That means more to us than we could ever put into words.
