Sometimes that means giving us a little space to talk with them, learn what makes them comfortable, and build that stylist-client relationship.

Parents are still an important part of the team! If your child needs your comfort, assistance, or support, we’ll let you know.

Let’s talk about something parents may not realize affects their child’s salon appointment: POSTURE.

When a child spends the appointment looking down, leaning to one side, or slouching, it can make parting and styling more difficult and may contribute to unnecessary pulling or discomfort.

We want our little clients comfortable!

Encourage them to sit tall, keep their head comfortably up, relax their shoulders, and stay centered in the chair.

These little adjustments help your stylist work more efficiently and can create a smoother experience for both the child and stylist.

Healthy hair care is a team effort. 💜

In Episode 1 of our Parent Tips series, I’m sharing 6 things I wish every parent knew before their child’s salon visit — from arriving prepared and sharing sensitivities to posture, trusting your stylist, and packing the little things that help your child stay comfortable.

One thing I especially want parents to remember: healthy hair is a TEAM effort. Once the appointment begins, giving your stylist space allows us to build trust with your child and focus on their hair. And if we need your help, we will absolutely call you in. 🤎
