Mat’s Hair

He was born in New Zealand and moved to Idaho when he was in high school. He graduated top of his class from Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2010. Prior to joining the team at Gilded Opal Hair Salon, Mat spent 8 years in a NW based shop as a senior stylist, as well as a shop manager, specializing in fierce fashion color and in style hair cuts. Mat has a strong passion for hair and makes sure he stays on trend by attending continued education classes that teach new and up and coming fashions and techniques. Mat is an excellent listener, he makes sure hear your needs before proceeding with the service. He values honesty in communication and will help customize the perfect look for you. He caters to all genders and ages and has a vast experience with all types of hair. Mat strives to keep his space a safe space for everybody.
