The Mila Effect

Originally, I began doing make up as a hobby, just for friends for weddings, parties, functions and Mardi Gras carnival events. My hobby quickly became a passion and I became fascinated with beauty and style. I nurtured my natural talent through years of experimentation and formal learning which took me to NYC where I studied fashion, editorial and runway makeup. Being a naturally shy person, I found my calling with makeup and it has become my means of artistic expression and fulfillment. I am blessed to have grown up in Trinidad and Tobago, an extremely diverse Caribbean island, so that I can appreciate the full spectrum of ethnic skin types and features. My focus is to help the everyday woman be glam, brow and photo ready as well as guide them on their makeup journey.
